M.P. SEVERS CONNECTION WITH THE PARTY.

WELLINGTON ,July 8. Owing to differences that arose last • week at the Labor Conference, Mr McCombs, M.P., has severed his connection with the New Zealand Labor Party. This decision followed upon the Congress- adopting a resolution in favor of State control bein gadded to ■ the issues at the licensing poll. Mr McCorabs last night confirmed this report, but declined to make any statement at present.
