TIMARU, May 24. At the Supreme Court to-day a former taxi owner, J. F. Pelvin, wa« iiiied £25 for perjury, in denying ownership to avoid a claim of damagee. A discharged soldier was sentenced to three years' reformative treatment for criminal assault on a boy. A Maori, charged with criminal a#eault on a native girl at Arowhc«ua, was acquitted.
