AT a Special Meeting of Patea County Council, held on Monday, I May 21, 1917, the following resolutioh was duly passed as a Special Order: ' 'That in exercise of the powers conferred upon it by Section 31, Counties ! Act, 1908, the County Council, on the ! petition of a majority of the ratepayers of the undermentioned Road districts, resolve, by way of Special Order, that on and after the First day of July, 11917, the said Road Districts, viz., Wairoa, Motorua, Okotuku, Kohi, Whenuakura-Waitotara, shall be merged { in the County of Patea, and the I Boards thereof abolished^ and that such I resolution be duly confirmed at a Special Meeting of the County to be held on Tuesday, the 19th June, 1917. Dated this 23rd day of May, 1917. G. V. PEARCE, Chairman, E. C. HORNER, Clerk. PATEA COUNTY COUNCIL. CLIFFORD ROAD LOAN OF £370. AT a Special Meeting of Patea County Council, held on Monday, | May 21, 1917, the following resolution was duly passed as a Special Order: SPECIAL ORDER. "That in pursuance and exercise of ! the powers and authorities vested in it in that behalf by the 'Local Bodies Loans Act. 1913,' the Patea County Council hereby resolves by way of Special Order to raise a Loan of £370, with a currency of 42^ years, for the metalling of Clifford Road. The ratepayers of the Clifford Road Special Rating District having signified their assent in the form prescribed by No. 9 of the Regulations issued under the Local Bodies Loans Act, 1913, to the raising of the said Loan and to the pledging of a Special Rate of One Halfpenny in the £ to provide for the repayment of the said loan in accordance with Section 68 of the above-mentioned Act." The foregoing resolution was duly adopted at a Special Meeting of the Council held on *the 21st day of May, 1917, and will be duly confirmed at a meeting to be held on'the 19th day of June, 1917.
