The High Commissioner reportß from London on May 24 at 2.5 p.m.: A French official message states: On Vauclere plateau yesterday a German attack, following on a violent T>ombardment, was immediately arrested and thrown back on his trenches after serious losses. Prisoners taken since Tuesday belong to six regiments from different divisions. Since May 1 the unwounded Germans taken prisoner between Soissons and Auberive number 8600.
