FARMERS' UNION RESOLUTIONS.

AUCKLAND, May 22. The Farmers' . Union Conference passed a resolution that any essential worker liable to be called up during the nest twelve months should have the right to go before a military board and have his position made clear. The conference previously rejected a remit that before the second division is called up the first division be increased by the inclusion of men up to 50 years of age, and also rejected a remit ' that the whole first and second division ballots be drawn at once, so that farmers would know the exact date when they would have to go into camp ' some months ahead,. likewise that the position of farmers be defined so as to ,know whether they will be required for service, or if they can remain on their farms.
