Capt. Frank R. Turnbull has been promoted to be major. :. A London cable announces the death of J. W. Waterhouse, H.A.. the painter. H. ftawson, who had a commission in the New Zealand Dental Corps, and who recently transferred to the Imperial Army, is" now 2nd Lieutenant in the Royal Field Artillery. Mr A. N. Field, who was a private in the New Zealand Rifle Brigade, and was wounded at Armentieres, was recently discharged'from the New Zealand Expeditionary Force as unfit for further service. He was afterwards gazetted an assistant paymaster in the R.JS.V.R. Mr Field was a well-known journalist in Wellington
