King, a Labor M.'P., has been ,fined £100 under the Defence of the Realm Act for communicating inl'orma- ] tion with respect to the supply and j condition of certain war material in a ! letter to George Raffalovitck, of New ;' York. The prosecution stated that [ King's letter made sensational state- I ments which were published in America ' by a news agency, of which Raffalo- 1 vitch was the representative, and wirelessed to Germany, being published in the German press.
