GRECIAN SITUATION,
CITY PATROLLED BY ALLIES
(Australian-!N\.Z. Cable Association.) LONDON, Oct. 21. The situation at Athens is quieter, recent arrests having had exemplary results. Even the anti-Venizelist press urges the public to abstain from provocation, and the disorderly element seems cowed.
The publication of the terms whereunder the French assume control of the police administration has had a salutary effect, .especially. the regulation rendering sell-appointed guardians of the monarchy liable to immediate arrest.

Realising the Allies" intention to secure the effective control of the police, King Constantine is ailowing the Government to seek workable arrangements with fhe Allies..
The \ chief of the French police has 'warned the anti-Venizelist press publication Anti-Entente that its articles will lead to its -suspension.
