PRICE OF BUTTER.
PROCLAMATIONS PREPARED

The Minister of Agriculture, Mr MaeDonald, has been in consultation with the Solicitor-General to-day regarding the legal aspects of the scheme for limiting the price of -butter. The necessary proclamations empowering the Government to control the price of butter are being prepared, and, as soon as they are approved by Cabinet, will he gazetted immediately. " The net result, it is understood, will be to fix the retail price at Is 7d per pound.
