WHEAT TRADE AT STANDSTILL.
LONDON, Oct. 12. "The wheat trade is* at a standstill, waiting the e.ffect of Government \ action. The Commission has issued a circular to the trade, announcing that it is prepared to take over, at last Monday's fair market price, all holdings or contracts then, existing for wheat and flour, all wheat and flour to be controlled by the Commission and be sold through the customary channels by firms appointed as Government agents. The Commission's action is not intended in any way to restrict the free dealing in stocks -of wheat and flour not bought by the Commission.
