Metropolitan Handicap.—Mr C. T. Trautwem's b g Quiaologisfc (imp.) 1; Polycrates ('imp.) 2, Cotigne 3. There were thirty-six starters. Quinologist overhauled Polycrates at the distance, and won by two and a half lengths, Cetigne a neck behind. Time, 2.36.
First Steeolos.—Louvre 1, Glenquinn 2. Briarben-y 3. The New Zealand .jumper Nsw York led to the' second last jump, where he fell. Won by twolengths. Time, 5.28 J. Breeders' Plate.—Baltic Sea 1 Modesto 2. Pah King 3. Twenty-three starters-. Time, 1.2 J. Squatt3r's "Handicap.—Quarale 1, Silent Way 2, Clydesdale 3, Won by half a length. Time,'2.9^ The weather was- fins and' th 6 attendance good. The going was holding. Bee was favorite for the Metropolitan, finished sixth.
The attendance at the racas was 35,000. Mr W. G. Stead's horses hare been m the hands of a different trainer since last week.
