OTTAWA, Oct. 8
Hon. R. Rogers (Acting-Prime Minister) informed a Labor .delegation that there would" be no conscription in Canada, but a system of registration, would provide for distinguishing the slackers. He also promised that a regulation would be made as .to food prices, and added that the proposal to nationalise Canadian munition factories was too late, as advices had been received from London that no more Canadian munitions would be required after the present contracts were completed, as Brftain had enough munitions to win the war.
