McNIVEN.—On October 7th, 1916, at the residence of his son-in-law, Mr S. Garner, No. 8 Gloucester street, William McNiven; aged 84 years. RElD.—Died on September 26th, 1916, of wounds received in action, Alexander (Wamba), the dearly beloved and eldest son of Alexander and Nellie Reid, South road, Hawera. PATERSON.—KiIIed in action in France, on September 15th, ISI6, Private David Francis Paterson; aged 41 years. TURTON.—At New Plymouth, on Saturday, October 7th, 1916, John Anderson Turton; aged 45 years. Deeply regretted.
