We made three successful raids' at Loos and two at Arras. The War Office, reporting from Salo- * nika, states: The enemy was inactive on the Struma front, and we consolidated all the ground gained. Our artillery bombarded Nevoljen, which the enemy evacuated and we occupied. A Russian communique states : There were fierce battles in the region of Peniaki, Gukolavoe and Mlynovoe, where the enemy is counter-attacking obstinately and resisting our offensive. We-captured some positions southward of Brzezany.
