CITIZENS' BAND.

The Hawera Citizen's Band has, in common with others, suffered severely from the call of the war. Already thirty-two men have left to obey the call, and in consequence of this the work of the condutcor and secretary has been very difficult. However, .several new players have lately come to the town, among them being a cornet soloist. This and the fact that they have now a band room will be a great assistance to the band and enable them to get once more into going order. They have done a lot of good work, and filled a useful place in th<» community. They therefore deserve all the assistance and encouragement possible by the people of the town.
