THE RECRUITING SCHEME.
A MISCONCEPTION
The Premier (as chairman of the HeBoard) has sent out the folcircular letter, of which .a copy Has been telegraphed to the Mayor ■Mr E. Dixon): The Recruting Board desires to xca misconception that would seem Ho 'exist amongst members of some bodies, whose help and co-opera-have been sought. The JBoard not necessarily ask that they personally canvass, but it does to them, as public men with responsibilities in this crisis, to and supervise recruiting :wor.k their district, and see that eaoh Tequota for their group area Ms provided. The Board feels sure that are many men and women suitfor this work in each district, who willingly jon with local bodies V make the scheme a success. — ~W.. F. chairman.
