TARANAKI AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY.

The Taranaki Agr,cultural Society has received tspleiiuia entries ior its annual snow, wmon takes place at me Kucecourse, JNew .flymoutii, on U'ednesday and 'inursday, Marcn 1 and 2. As there are no doubt many more entries in tne mails, tnere is every prospect ol an excellent show, with largely increased membership. A much greater interest is being taiven in the snow by farmers througnout the district, witn the result th^t, m addition to the usual exhibitors from Taranaki and other districts, there wilL be many more local exhibitors. In connection with the fat sheep classes, Mr F. Ho>skin's trophy, value £5 os, which is given as a points prize, was inadvertently omitted from the schedule, but it will nevertheless be open for competition and will be included in the catalogue. Mr H. Linn has given two special prizes of 10s "6d each, one for the best boy rider and one for the best girl rider in the three saddle pony classes; and Mr C. Topliss, of Waihi, offers a special of £5 t3s as a points prize in the registered Shorthorn classes. The general arrangements for the show are in a forward 6tate, and all that is required now to ensure success is fine weather, so that town and country people alike can attend in large numbers.
