PARIS, Sei). 28. A secret memorandum shows the total credits received and pending are 1200 millions sterling. The expenditure for the post three months, including the war, is £74,800,000 per month. It is estimated that the monthly expenditure in the coming quarter will be S3 millions. The chairman of the Finance Committee announced that an important loan was impending. Hitherto they had met the expenditure without much difficulty, but a more radical solution was necessary.
