SUCCESSFUL QUEEN CARNIVAL.
MARTON, Sept. 5. The Rangitikei Queen Carnival, extending over eight weeks, concluded oa Saturday night. There were seven candidates, and Miss Joyce McKelvie,. daughter of Mr J. F. McKelvie, of Carnarvon, was elected queen. The total realised was £15,563 13s 2d, representing 1,867,639 votes.
