WANGANUI.
Freeman R. Jackson and Co.. Ltd., report as follows on their dairy and fat stock sale held, at Wanganui. There were no good fat cattle in, but the fat sheep pens were nicely filled, and there was the usual offering of pigs. A fair number of daily stock came forward, and the attendance of buyers was good. Cows and heifers close to profit were iri good demand, but backward sorts were hard to quit. Fats made ruling prices, and pigs were well competed for.. Quotations: Light fat heifers £6 6s good springing heifers £7 7s 6d to £9 10s, i'aii: heifers £5 10s to £6 ss, backward heifers £t 15s to £5 ss, dairy cows £7 12s 6d to £9, medium £5 15s to £6 2s 6d, prime fat wethers 355, ewes 335, medium ewes 23s 6d, baconers £3 5s to £3 Ss, best pork £2 Ss to £2 10s, medium 35s tc 40.5, others 28s to 30s 6d, stores 18s to £3s, weaners 11s to 13s.
