ENEMY SUFFERING HEAVILY

A communique cays: V7e repulsed attacks on Friedrichstadt and our troops are approaching Vilkomir. Our cavalry carried two villages near Szirwiky with the bayonet, and ttook some prisoners. The enemy's chief efforts are directed along the Olita-Merecz road. We repulsed several obstinate attacks in a stubborn fight inear Orany-, after holding the enemy near Grodno as long as was necessary to enable ug to evacuate this point. We crossed to the right bank of the Meamen, and after holding the enemy an the Lutzk district, we fell back tujpou tKe UlykaRadziwiloff front.. We took hundreds of prisoners and a number of machine guns. The enemy hav<e -occupied Lutzk. Our troops in Galieua, in accordance with the retreating movement from Styr, occupied their new positions, enabling us to cover cur movements. The enemy again suffered very heavily in the regions of Zoloehow, Zborow, and the mouth of th© Strypa. We have here assumed a partial offensive, capturing guns, prisoners aaad muet Material.
