A SCENE IN PARLIAMENT.

_, PERTH, Sep. 2. Inere was a seen© in the Assembly today. Air Johnson, Minister of Lands, ite justifying the Government's action in. connection with the freezing works contract, attacked the newspaper W«rt Australia and its criticism, referring toits leader writer as a "journalistic bloodhound."

At a later stago th e Premier drew attention to a note sent from the pre« gallery to Mr Johnson, by the West Australia's leader-writer, reading: "W D. Johnson; you are doubly a miserable cur and a liar. (Signed) J. C. Moson."

On the motion of the Premier, seconded by the leader of the Opposition, the House resolved that Morrison was guilty of contempt, and that he be*excluded from the gallery until he withdraws or apologises.
