ENTERTAINMENTS.

"CINDERELLA."

J. C. WILLIAMSON'S PANTOMIME.

There was a large demand for seats this morning, when the plans, were opened r»r the.-first.-aid only representation or J. 0. Williamson's pantomime 'extravaganza'KJinderella," which is to be staged at the Opera House on Monday night next. In "Cinderella" we are to witness Mr Barry Lupino in the <part of Billy the page, his characterisation of which first made his name notable amongst playgoers in England. Mr Jack McArdle is said to be immensely Entertaining 'as the Baron, andshis eingmg of "Sister Susie's sewing shirts for soldiers" creates much merriment. Mr Arthur Stigant, it is said, presents the part of the Dame to the very life. He is, it is stated, quaintly original in manner and dress, and he has more than sustained his excellent London reputation. As the principal "boy" Miss Minnie Love, it is said, dresses artistically and sings and acts delightfully, and Miss Dolly Castles and Miss Celia Ghiloni have both been lavishly praised for their efforts. From among a series of .picturesque ballets one that stands out prominently is the "Boudoir Ballet." In it Miss Maud Amery lightly tends Cenderella, as the Gossamer Fairy, and the same accomplished dancer also shines in a quaint kitchen ballet, in which teapots, lemon equeezers, coal scuttles and the like march about the stage. But her principal effort, it is said, marked by grace and significance and gesture, is the Red Poppy* a ballet d'actkm charmingly shown, in which the other girls represent flowers, now glorious in the sunshine, anon beaten down, by drenching showers. In a quaint and very humorous "turn," entitled* "Old Time Turns," Miss Gertie Latchford and Miss Dorothy Firman are, it is said, exceedingly humorous. They wear Pork Pie hats and "tuns" and sing a sentimental ballad. An outstanding feature of the pantomime is the acrobatic specialty of Tiny Tot Marjorie and Little Eileen, who perform some really marvellous evolutions.
