SONS OF THE FALLEN.

A PROVIDENT APPEAL

An appeal to the British public is made by the council of the Imperial bervice College, Windsor, for funds to enable them to educate the sons of officers in the Navy and Army whose families may be left in straitened circumstances by their death in the war. The college is the only institution of its kind in England, and is controlled by a council of distinguished officers. Among those approving of the appeal are Lord .Kitchener, Sir John Jellicoe, and Sir John French.

The provision of funds for the work of this college,'.' Admiral Jellicoe writes, "affords a means of giving an education to the sons of officers who fall in the war, and I know of no better way of recognising the debt which the country owes to those who have given their lives for it."
