PRELIMINARY SKIRMISHES

FRONTIER POSITIONS OCCUPIED

ROME, May 26. Official.—ln Trentino we occupied Monte Zohale and Ponte Caffaro, In ifae.Valonigiu di Caria and territory MortE of Ferrar; also Monte Baldo, .Monte Come, Monte Foppiano, on the Tiorth slope of the Lessines; Pasubio and Monte Baffelami, at the extremities of the Agno and Leograva valleys, and the high defiles of the Brenta valley. We occupied all the frontier passes at Cadore, while on the Carnic frontier we won by a bayonet attack the Valiniferno Pass, at the end of the Val de Gario. Our offensive is progressing near Cappreto, and our aviators bombed "the electricity works and railway station at Monfalcone.
