AMSTERDAM, May 26. A German communique states: We repulsed a night attack against our jinewly-conquered positions west of Bellegarde, and the number of machine guns captured from the British have be^en increased-to ten. North-east, of Crivenchy colored and British troops succeeded in capturing a salient of our advanced trenches. North of the Sou-chez-Bethune line the enemy, who yesterday -penetrated our trenches, was ejected at night. •. ' ,
General yon Mackensen, after severe fighting, captured Swieck, south-east of 3ladymno, and-we forced a crossing of *he San after the Austrians had storm- ■ <ed a bridge-head. Further north we i reached the district east of Laszke.
