A <MERICAN SHIP TORPEDOED,

(Received May 27, 10.30 a.m.)

LONDON. May 26

The American steamer Nebraskan was torpedoed off Fastnei, but the crew was saved. She was outward bound for Delaware, and when forty miles off Fastnet sent a wireless last night calling for help as she had been torpedoed. The crew was standing by in boats, as the weather was fine.

An armed trawler picked up the Nebrasken, which is making for Queenstown with her forehold full of water.
