LONDON, May 25. It is expected the Cabinet will be announced to-night. Lord Fisher definitely goes fo tbe Admiralty.
The Daily News states that Lord Fisher signed all the documents relating to the Dardanelles, and the W Tar Council took into account his approval when undertaking the scheme. The late Cabinet feel that if Lord Fisher did not approve of the character of the expedition he should have spoken earlier.
Despite the appeals of the North-East Coast Armaments Committee, many Tynesiders observed Whit Monday, a_i . 35,000 out of 40,000 took a holiday at the Sheffield steel works. The masters at Birmingham and Leeds voluntarily closed in view of the amount of recent overtime.
Fifty thousand engaged in the manufacture of war munitions in the Manchester district continued work. The Woolwich arsenal and dockyard day and night are continuing the excellent example given to the country throughout the war.
