Dalgety and Company, Ltd. Wellington, have received the following cablegram from their London oifiee, dated May 20th:— '

Wool Sales: The sales closed , very firm for all descriptions, except carbonising wool. Compared with closing rates of last series, merinos were on a par, except short or faulty, which were 10 per cent lower. Fme and medium crossbreds were unchanged, whilst coarse was. from par to 5 per cent lower. Lambs declined 5 per cent. F:ne slipes were unchanged, whilst medium and coarse were from par to 5 per cant lower. Tallow: There was a ooor demand at the auctions, and prices declined fully Is per cwt ;
