FRESH TURKISH CRIMES

WHOLESALE MASSACRE OF

ARMENIANS

LONDON, May 24. The Press Bureau states that the British, French and Russian Governments report that for a month the Kurds and Turkish population of Armenia have been massacring the /Armenians, with the connivance, and often with the help, of the Ottoman authorities.

Massacres. occurred at Erzeroum, Dertchan, Eyin, Bitlis, Sassoun, Mouss and Zeitun. Inhabitants in a hundred villages near Van were all assassinated. The Turks besieged the Armenian quarter of Van, and the Ottoman Government at Constantinople at the same time was raging against the unoffensive Armenians.

In the face of these fresh crimes the Allied Government® announce publicly that they hold all the members of the Ottoman Government and its agents personally responsible for the massacres.
