A communique states: On the night of the 21st south of the Pilica, in the region of Klinontov, we repulsed the enemy's strong offensive, took 1000 prisoners, and captured four machine guns. On the 22nd we attacked the enemy in the region nearest the Dneister, making prisoners of 900 and capturing four machine guns. On the 21st, in the region of Slomaka, on the right bank of the Dneister, there were stubborn engagements, and the enemy several times reached our trenches, but were repulsed. We captured seventeen officers, 640 men, and some machine guns.
