The totahsator handled £29,533 for the day as against £26,340 on the second day last year. The total for the meeting was £55,193, as against £46,123 last meeting. Results: —

Balgowme Hack Handicap; 1 mile and a distance.—Client 1, Salvia 2 Vladiau 3. All started. Won by a neck. Time, 2min 0 2-ssec. Grandstand Steeplechase; two and ahalf miles—Soporific 1, The Pole 2 The Diver 3. Scratched: Vestal. Daylight Bill and Sportsman fell. Won easily by five lengths. Time, sinin Bsec.

Rata Hack Hurdles, about one mile and five fur-longs.—Awahou 1, General Webb 2, Jolie Fille 3. Scratched: St. Gate and Snow raker. Won comfortably by a length. Time, 3.3 3-5. May Hurdles, about one and threequarter miles.—Corrie 1, Black Northern 2, Immensity 3. All started. Won by a length and a quarter. Time, 3.19 1-5.

Empire Handicap.—Lady Louisa 1 George 2, Maniaroa 3. Scratched: Play Off. A couple of lengths covered the first four horses. Time, 1.59. Farewell Hack Handicap.—Fortify 1, Calais 2, Bold Stroke 3. Scratched: Toki. Won very easily. Time, 1.16 1-5.
