KAPONGA 11 v. OKAIAWA 6
The above match was played on the Okaiawa ground. The local club had some difficulty in putting a fifteen in the field, and consequently the game was late in starting. The high wind militated greatly against an exnibition of football, but nevertheless the game was fairly interesting. The visitors had slightly the better of the game, and ran out winners by eleven points (a goal, a penalty goal, and. a try) to six (^two tries), tneir try in the second half against the wind being the best piece of play during the match. Mr J. Kiley retereed to the satisfaction of both sides.
