On resuming, Colman with a good kick sent the ball out near the corner. Waimate came away with a fierce dash, which Tau stopped in fine style. Hawera were using the line cleverly, and stopped every Waimate attack by picking up and kicking to touch Waimate backs set up an attack/but Colman took the ball from the ground and found the line. Play was fast and keen, both sides playing their utmost and showing fine dash. Hawera forwards, headed by Winks, made a" fane dash, which Lynskey and Hughes stopped In turn each "side attacked.
