SKINS AND HIDES.
There was a good demand for sheepskins at the sales held on Friday, and prices were very firm at previous sale late*. Hides showed a decline when compared with values realised at the last sale, px were down -kl per pound, and co\r were cheaper by id. Meatworks hides, in good condition, were sold at -id to Ad .above? prices paid for ordinary butchers' hides. Calves were also cheaper.—Wellington Post.
