AUCKLAND, May • 21. A defendant at the Police Court this morning in the course of an explanation concerning the selling of lollies on a Sunday, mentioned incidentally that the shop was open at the time for the selling of soft drinks. "I am not .sure that the selling of soft drinks on a Sunday is legal," remarked Mr F. V. Frazer, S.M. Senior Sergeant Rutledge interjected that this was a point which his Worship would probably have to decide very shortly; as he* would very likely have charges of having sold " such goods brought before him.
