ENEMY LOSSES IN CARPATHIANS.

(Received May 22, 10.30 a.m.) PETROGRAD, May 21. The enemy's losses in the Carpathians for three weeks, including 40,000 made prisoners, are officially estimated at one-fourth of their total strength. Although the enemy lost only twenty guns, several hundred were abandoned m their old lines.
