RAWHITIROA.
(From Our Own Correspondent.)
Now that the milking season is practically over, we find the young men of Rawhitiroa coming forward to swell the ranks of volunteers for active service. Amongst the number are Messrs Cam-> eron, Heaven, Fahey, Hodgson (2), Kelland, with others to follow.
Far.raers are taking advantage of the dry weather to get ou with the ploughing. This month offers a contrast to the same month of last year, when 7J29 inches of rain fell, as against 0.87 tor 'the same period of this year. Many eulogistic comments are heard from passeTs-by as they note the improvements in the school grounds now beinfc carried out by the committee under the direction qf their energetic chairman, Mr Parkinson.
