MANAIA.

Two rinks of Auroa bowlers visited the local green ou Wednesday afternoon at the invitation of the local players. A very enjoyable game resulted, Manaia winning by a small margin.
Mrs Jas. Cosgrove sustained a severe scalding on Thursday through accidentally spilling a ltettle of boiling water over her feet. At a euchre party and dance held last evening by the Tennis and Croquet Club in aid of the Belgian Relief Fund about 60 couples took the floor, and the relief fund" will benefit to the 'amount of about £6. The music was provided by Miss B. Mitchell, vocal items were contributed by. Mr Hair and Miss Taylor, and humorous recitations by Mr Lawrie, of Wanganui.
