THE HOSPITAL SHIP

Apart from every other eoxtsideratioii,. it will be of **cry great advantage that our wounded .New Zealanders shall be brought to their own country and to their own kith and kin for nursing. 2S"o doubt the .arrangements in Egypt- would be admirable,, but the climatic conditions, to say nothing of the personal aspect of the matter, wouid be much more favorable here, and for those able to make the yoyage recovery would probably be move rapid in New Zealand. The hospital ship will be provided: that is assured; but let us regard it a-s a privilege and an honor to take part in helping. This district has done a good deal by sending men and by subscribing money, but love of country and love of our fellows sets no bounds save those of ability, and all who can dp more will readily help this new project, by which those who must necessarily stay at home will prove their love and sympathy for those who have made the great sacrifice entailed by personal service.
