VIGOROUS OFFENSIVE

SEVERAL TRENCHES CAPTURED.

A communique states: As the result of a vigorous offensive wo -captured several trenches at Auchy, near La, Bassee, Loos, and St. Laurent, and the whole of the first line of trenches at Blangy. 'V'Pur artillery gained distinct adrcaDtage at Tracy-le-Val and in the Champagne district.

The enemy belw up our trench north of Tour de Paris. Three German battalions of infantry attempted to debouch, but were repulsed.
