FINANCIAL CONDITIONS IMPROVING.
LONDON, Aug. 11
The Bank has received a further quarter of a million in gold. The total receipts have been nine millions since the fifth. Conditions are steadily improving, and the banks are paying out in gold.
The Transvaal output for July was £3,111,398, the largest since 'June, 1913.
Lady NorthcDte has clfered Eastwell Park as a convalescent home for officers.
