At the reouest of the Indies 7 committee who are arranging for collect I ing funds, etc., for the expeditionary force we publish the following instructions for making Scott caps:—Four steel knittinrr needles, four skeins of wool. Cast on six stitches, arrange on three needles. First round: Increase a stitch by knitting and purling ih first stitch, knit next stitch: work each needle same way. Reneat this till you have six stitches on each needle and have clone four rounds." JMtth round.: Increase in every third stitch. Repeat fifth round " eleven times more.
