HOKITIKA, Aug. 10. A meeting, of the Territorial forces of this district was held to-night. Fiftysix responded to the call for volunteers, including the captain and the whole of the A Company, 13th Regiment, besides privates * and ex-eontingenters. Substantial amounts have already been handed to the local defence authorities, and a ladies' committee has been most successful in securing material and other articles for the general comfort of the volunteers. NAPIER, Aug. 10. The sum of £3662 has been subscribed in Napier towards the expense of equipping the expeditionary force. WELLINGTON, Aug. 10.
