ALLEGED ATTEMPTED MURDER.
ACCUSED COMMITTED FOR TRIAL

AUCKLAND, June 1. At the Police Court "William Tynan was charged with the attempted murder of his daughter Evelyn,, whom he waylaid -when she was leaving school, and cut her throat with a, razor. Prisoner sat through th* proceedings as unconcernedly as if he had only a spectator's interest in the evidence, though occasionally he displayed signs of nervous stress. Detective McMahon stated that prisoner, when arrested, expressed a desire to be hanged without delay. Mrs Tynan stated that her husband had threatened her previously with a rasor, hut. she never lieard him j threaten her children. Her husband! had been drinking to excess. Tynan, when asked to plead, remained silent and was committed for trial.
