SOCCER.
The "Soccer" international between Scotland and England was played at Hampden Park, and as usual attracted a huge crowd of spectators, the gates being closed when some 110,000 had got inside, but shutting out between 30,000 and 40,000 later arrivals, for whom it was feared there would be insufficient accommodation.
