SCENES AT LIVERPOOL.
(Received May 30, 12.30 ;>.ru ) LONDON, May 29. A majority of the Empress of Ireland's officers and crew belonged to Liverpool, where there are distressing scones. The office of the company is besieged all day long. Prayers are being offered at headquarters for the safety of the missing Salvationists.
The place at which the accideiri •happened is in" the waterway of the Gulf of St. Lawrence, about 150 miles from Quebec.
