At the half-yearly meeting of the Mount Lyell Company, the chairman anticipated extensive delevopments, and consequently improved results. It was disappointing to have to declare a dividend of not more than a shilling, but the board concluded that until a comprehensive development scheme w.is finished it was not prudent to encroach on the accumulated profits.
