NAPIER, May 5. A boxing contest at Hastings tonight, between Barney Ireland (Waipawa) and Denny Murnhy (Wellington), for a parse of £50 and the middle-weight championship of New Zealand (fifteen three-minute rounds) was won by Murphy on points.
