G TPKORNE, March 16. The Supreme Court opened this morning, Mr Justice Hosking presiding. The\ Judge congratulated tho district on the immense progress it had made since his first visit to it thirty years ago. In his charge to the Grand c* 7,* ■ Honor, referring to the case of alleged attempted murder, remarked that the prisoner had believed he was suffering wrong from evil reports spread by his prosecutor, and thought he was justified in appealing to the unwritten law. His Honor said there was nothing in laws of the country to warrant a person in appealing to the unwritten law.
